Mahmood Falaki was born in Iran in a city near the Caspian- sea (1951). He studied chemistry and the science of library in Iran. Years later he obtained his degree in German- Iran subject from the University of Humburg.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

In Shah’s time he was jailed because of his political idea against that regime for 3 years. After Islamic revolution (79) he was released from prison and got his first poetry book published.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

He worked in Open- University in Iran.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Due to the new Islamic regime having political idea and writing it in the form of poem is forbidden and increasingly difficult and dangerous as a result of this situation he fled out of the country by force and since 1986 he lives in Humburg.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

His works includes: Novel-Lyric poem-narration-criticism of poems.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Nearly 19 books of these kinds are already published most in Persian and Germany and some of his poems are translated in English and Swedish.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Presently he works as a lecturer for Persian Language and Literature.<\/p>\n

Umbrella<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Rain is falling<\/p>\n

I am passing the street with a punctured umbrella<\/p>\n

Behind the red light<\/p>\n

a woman passes her look from the line in my forehead<\/p>\n

and dissolves in the street which has found the shape of rain<\/p>\n

with green color.<\/p>\n

The rain continues to fall<\/p>\n

and the umbrella is no more with me:<\/p>\n

It moves yonder,<\/p>\n

my umbrella,<\/p>\n

with the woman’s hands.<\/p>\n

Dark Words<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

From the invisible forehead of the world<\/p>\n

a mad man issues<\/p>\n

with a big drum<\/p>\n

which beats on our imagination<\/p>\n

a stone is flapped<\/p>\n

which compared to it water and grass<\/p>\n

shows our uncouth shape of pain.<\/p>\n

I ask not again:<\/p>\n

„Why are we born?“<\/p>\n

so that fatigue will not pour<\/p>\n

from behind the history of the stone<\/p>\n

over shining words.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Let’s be simple and light,<\/p>\n

so that when you turn your eyes from the window,<\/p>\n

the window will turn into the form of a song<\/p>\n

for a moment when my sky is empty of its blue mood,<\/p>\n

and I can learn the reason for my birth<\/p>\n

in this manner.<\/p>\n

But it is impossible:<\/p>\n

in the absence of delightful melody of moon<\/p>\n

our nocturnal<\/p>\n

leave<\/p>\n

my non-accomplished journeys<\/p>\n

beside the road<\/p>\n

and the window disappears<\/p>\n

and I<\/p>\n

grow lonely<\/p>\n

with stones of fatigue and crooked and dark words.<\/p>\n

I hear a sound.<\/p>\n

A mad man continues to<\/p>\n

beat at our imagination<\/p>\n

from the invisible forehead of the world.<\/p>\n
